"The medallion design of the carpet is painted using the same color as the border making the image look like a whole. The middle border is colored in bright red, color symbolizing faith, luck, joy and courage. This color contrasts with the ivory background but it does not take the naturalness from the picture. The leaves and flowers are colored in blue, red, green and outlined with darker colors . The general picture is crowded. Observe the lower side of the Persian rug we see the designer signature worked as the entire carpet, wool and a silk based."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
