"A carpet full of dynamism is the way to describe the one we have in front of us. This is because the red of background is a strong color, which inspires courage, faith and joy. The carpet coloration is superb. Notice how fine and how strong are the flowers shaped. On the edges we have Shah-Abbasi motif that is very common in Persian carpets workmanship. The colors of the lotus and peony varieties from brown with ivory intrusions, green and grey to black and dark brown contours. The light blue used for the carpet's interior and the medallion design sends the viewer to think about the sky on a beautiful day of summer."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
