"In the image of this Persian rug we have two contrasting colors, the ivory field's background and the red from the main border. These two colors are covered by the Persian rug's allover design floral and foliage motifs. In the center we see an abundance of floral ornaments painted with powerful colors. Such colors are red, blue, navy and beige and they are beautifully alternated throughout the design. The blue used for the main borders decorations works out to create charm full floral ornaments. Notice the way the inner and outer borders are covered by a multitude of gracefully colored flowers."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
