"This Persian rug's ivory background provides it with a special brightening effect inviting the viewer to relax both its body and mind. The main border is colored with dark beige and its floral motifs are shaded in red, navy and ivory. The design is allover and the lotus, pomegranate and peony flowers are lively colored. Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves.
