"This Persian rug has an exceptional quality and is hand-knotted in wool on a natural silk foundation. The pictorial design shows a beautiful image. The navy background is covered by lively and joyful colors. On each of the Persian rug's sides a vase filled with roses is designed featuring various shades of red and orange. Roses are symbols of purity, inocence but also of ardent passion. The Persian rug center has a small medallion also decorated with a flower vase. On the lanceolate leaves we find beautifully outlined and colorful birds."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
