"We have in front of us a image with a navy background surrounded with ivory from the main border. The Persian rug's design is allover and the color scheme is bright. The center of the Persian rug is ornate with the Mina-Khanni motif, featuring blue and ivory colored lotus flowers. Red roses surrounded by ivory are also used as decorative motifs, brightening the image. The main border is decorated with lotus flowers and roses, symbols of rebirth and passion. The fine blue and red outlines resembling the sky color and the joy dynamism shows a remarkable naturalness."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
