This pictorial design Persian rug has a navy background surrounded by the red color used for the main border's background. A tree is painted on the Persian rug's field among whose branches four birds can be seen. This blooming tree is a representation of the tree of life. On both sides of the Persian rug's image bottom two identical flowers vases are designed. Between them another vase is placed on a stand. The flowers appearing in the image are roses representing ardent passion. Lively colored birds can be found among the floral ornaments.
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
