"The idea of formalism and sobriety is emitted by the navy background while warmth is provided through the brighter ivory surrounding it. The main border is red adding joy and dynamism. In the center of its medallion design a rosette motif is applied. Its colors are various, naturally combining red with ivory and light blue with beige. The inner and outer borders backgrounds are also ivory and blue. The Persian rug's color scheme is mainly composed of bright warm colors."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
