"The design of this Persian rug is allover but we can see in the center a symmetrical design consisting of pomegranate flowers, symbolizing fertility. They create a nice colorful rosette and are in tune with the Persian rug's main border. The green background on top of which decorations are applied creates an image of spring, hope and a new beginning. The whole image reflects happiness and joy. The pink main border completes the image with its silk outlined pomegranate flowers. On one side of the outer border we see the designer signature."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk.
