"From the first glance we can see the doubled inner and outer borders which together with the main border occupy a considerable large space of the Persian rug's area. The field background is navy while its cornes are blue. The interior is brightened thanks to the pale shades that were used. The rosette style medallion features colors like gray, blue, ivory and brown. The medallion's edge is decorated with blue colored flowers ornaments. This color is predominantly used throughout the Persian rug's image also having a great symbolic value."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
