"This is a Persian rug with a red background, loaded with brightly colored floral motifs, which contrasts pleasantly with the background color. The medallion design is painted in bright shades of green and beige. Two kinds of flower vases are designed symmetrically. The green color present on the inner corners of the Persian rug is combined with beige therefore brightening the Persian rug's image. The outer border is not accurately outlined creating a pleasant, more relaxed view. The main border floral motifs also exceed its area."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk.
