"This Persian rug's Gombad design shows the image of mosque interior. The mosque dome is displayed in the center of the Persian rug's field area. The color scheme features many colors, without any particular background color. Occupying an important area, the borders are painted in bright colors. The mosque image is crossed by floral ornaments among which we can spot the lotus flowers and beautifully outlined and colored Peony flowers. The outlines are finely worked in silk on cotton foundation. 1820"
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory.
