"Although the Persian rug's size is reduced, the amount of decorations is very high. The design type is Gombad, a design which usually occurs without any particular background color. This design describes the image of a mosque particularly the mosque dome. The image makes the viewer think at the afterlife, at the stars in the sky, at humility and holiness. The main colors used throughout the design are blue and orange. Both are colors that accentuate the feelings expressed through the design: devotion, afterlife and isolation. The feeling of depth and height are also provided through the field's design."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory.
