This Persian rug's great beauty is explained through its vivid and intense color scheme. The background color is ivory and the main border is red. An obvious contrast emerges from this combination creating an elegant look. The Persian rug design is medallion and we can clearly observe that every corner of the Persian rug's field is decorated with a vase of flowers placed over the corners' blue background. The borders are covered on the side by the Persian rug's field featuring ivory-colored intrusions. The main border contains Shah-Abbasi motifs and roses colored with a mix of red and other brighter shades. #9297
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
