"From the first glance we can see how crowded the image of this Persian rug is. It has a navy background over which the medallion design is applied. The medallion is tinted in blue and in its center bright colored images are designed. The entire Persian rug shows images of deer. This is highly noticeable from the main border up to the Persian rug's center. Deer are colored in shades of beige and brown, and next to them birds colored in green or beige appear. Palmette and pomegranate flowers are outlined with intense shades completing the Persian rug's image."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
