"The predominant decoration of this wool, silk and cotton made Nain Persian rug is a cup-shaped flower also known by the name of Pal Mette. Throughout the field's allover layout these motifs are evenly scattered according to an imaginary path. This type of placement is suggesting a peaceful stream of design elements. The allover color is ivory accented with blue and navy. The borders follow the color scheme of the field creating a blending effect. The decorations are also the same for both borders and Persian rug's field."
Nain Rugs
The rugs produced in the region of Nain are also very popular. They feature a specific design with an ivory or blue background. The central medallion colors matches the background but also the motifs used inside the rug. Older rugs from this region are very difficult to find but the quality is exceptional, as has always been in this region.
