"Its extraordinary color scheme is certainly the most obvious design feature for this Persian rug. The colors seem full of life surrounded by a certain charm. The feeling of luminosity provided by the ivory background, invites the viewer to a total relaxation. Different hues of blue are mirroring the sky colors when the sun is shining untroubled by any clouds. Lotus and peony flowers together with the cloud bands motif surround the central medallion. Flower and leaf like decorations are shaped for a better contrast with dark red, brown and navy. The borders are also rich in decorations and the main border the Shah Abassi motif is extremely obvious. 5293-11j"
Nain Rugs
The rugs produced in the region of Nain are also very popular. They feature a specific design with an ivory or blue background. The central medallion colors matches the background but also the motifs used inside the rug. Older rugs from this region are very difficult to find but the quality is exceptional, as has always been in this region.
