"This Persian rug's color scheme is full of life representing spring, rebirth and hope. Large sized borders are framing the medallion layout field. The main border contains a pattern of Shah Abassi motifs which is a very common decorative motif of the Nain style Persian rugs. We can spot the rosette designed medallion as well as the perfect symmetry developed all over the Persian rug's field. The outer and inner borders feature a pleasant mix of blue, brown and navy. The central rosette also contains a combination of navy and ivory creating an amazing contrast effect with the field's background."
Nain Rugs
The rugs produced in the region of Nain are also very popular. They feature a specific design with an ivory or blue background. The central medallion colors matches the background but also the motifs used inside the rug. Older rugs from this region are very difficult to find but the quality is exceptional, as has always been in this region.
