"From the first glance we can spot the medallion layout and the great color scheme made of different shades of blue, ivory, dark red, brown and navy. The lanceolate leafs inside the medallion feature blue and grey contours while the ones from the field are contoured with brown and ivory. The Nain characteristic power symbols are also present through this Persian rug's design. The Peony flowers from the center of the Persian rug and the lanceolate leaf are such symbols. Other authentic motifs can be found like the Shah Abassi motif. Lighter than the field, the large sized borders surrounds the whole Persian rug's design."
Nain Rugs
The rugs produced in the region of Nain are also very popular. They feature a specific design with an ivory or blue background. The central medallion colors matches the background but also the motifs used inside the rug. Older rugs from this region are very difficult to find but the quality is exceptional, as has always been in this region.
