"The brightness of this Persian rug is provided through the ivory background. The red main border contrasts sharply with the rest of the Persian rug and offers a very pleasant image. The central image of the Persian rug shows a vase with various kinds of flowers, among which birds are easily seen as they are resting. The vase outlines are absolutely natural through the intense shades used and stands out through the finesse of the lines. On the main border, a pattern of blue vases filled with red roses appear. Roses are symbols of passion in the Persian Persian rugs designs."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
