"On this Persian rug a navy background is applied, but lighter borders colors cheer the image giving an airy atmosphere. The orange border is richly adorned with roses and other floral motifs. Richly decorated leaves are symbols of eternal regeneration. The roses from the design inspire passion and innocence. On the border we can see the Peony flower, featuring delicate, natural colors. Some valuable technical features are the high knots density (375 KPSI) and the natural wool and silk pile."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory. They offer strong contrasts in the rug’s image but also inspire serenity and beauty. Most are hand-knotted on a soft cotton foundation using a combination of wool and silk.
