"This is a pictorial Persian rug that combines natural, bright colors. What we see in this scenery is the image of two women and two men. A man and a woman are standing, while the other two are sitting down at their feet. The woman standing hands a cup of vine to the other woman. The room where they stand is paved with white and blue tiles. The borders are decorated with gates representations as well as with images from the sea side. Blue color predominates in the picture and is very serene and bright."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
