"The terracotta colored, relatively large borders, surround the allover layout of the navy background field. The Herati motif is used for the field, featuring an extraordinary color scheme. The details contours are colored in terracotta and ivory while the rest of the decorations are colored in green. The high quality of this Persian rug is also provided through its cotton foundation and its silk pile. From inside out the border's backgrounds are as follows navy, ivory, terracotta and grey. Each border contains a multitude of floral motifs on its surface. Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory.
