"The pictorial image of this Persian rug features a successful blend of colors and decorative motifs. The Persian rug's central image shows a tree loaded with flowers on a brown background. The field background is ivory, a brightening and chilling color. The inner corners of the Persian rug show many flowers, among which strongly colored roses are predominant. The green that appears so bright in this image is the symbol of youth, hope and spring. The flowers are painted mostly in red transmitting joy, faith and the idea of wealth. The main border is another part of the Persian rug that uses the color red completing the image with a rare naturalness."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
