"Firstly we notice the large amount of space occupied by the Persian rug's borders. They have floral decorations with natural colors that are livley. The medallion of this Persian rug is painted in blue and brown with inserts of ivory. The medallion outlines are very strong and surround it accurately. On each side of the Persian rug we find a vase of flowers and the Persian rug filed is also loaded with floral ornaments. The main border red background is crossed by flowers representations predominantly colored in green, color that conveys the idea of a new life and a new beginning."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
