"The image is natural and the coloring is intense but also very pleasant. The main border is brown while the field's background is ivory. The forwarded brightness is therefore obvious. It invites the viewer to relax, especially through the exquisite floral decorations. The Persian rug's medallion design is painted in shades of brown and ivory. A very good quality emerges from hand-knotted wool pile and the silk foundation. The 550 knots per square inch are also adding to its value."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
