"Green is the predominant color from this Persian rug's floral and foliage decorations color scheme. The Background is ivory and the leaf colors are very intense featuring brighter inserts from place to place. Lotus, Peony or pomegranate flowers appear strongly outlined but still with a natural appeal. Boteh motifs are also used, with a color scheme made of brown, navy and green with finely drawn outlines. The Persian rug has allover design framed by the beige shaded borders. The Persian rug is designed with flowers and leafs on a dark background and offers a natural looking image."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
