"The navy background color highlights the other Persian rug's colors even more within its whole image. The medallion of this Persian rug is designed in a rosette fashion and includes colors such as white and pink. Surrounding the rosette, a line of colorful flowers of pink and red is applied. It is also completed through their green stems and leaves that make the image even more powerful in its natural expressing way. The interior corners of the field are decorated with a bouquet of red roses which signify ardent passion. The main border of the Persian rug is divided into two colors, beige and red, which are skillfully combined. The inner and outer borders are colored in blue and frame the image with a touch of general peacefulness."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
