"This Persian rug features a variety of colors that are used to display a great pictorial. We can distinguish here the image of three people, two women and one man, sitting next to a bloomed tree. One of the two women plays the mandolin and sits down next to the man. The other is standing and holds a drinking cup. The sky has a gray background and the tiny hills in the background are beige. The main border has a black background and the motifs are outlined in brown and ivory. The blue inner and outer borders frame the image unifying it."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
