"In this picture we have a medallion design Persian rug. The bright ivory background is full of light and the colors around it create a pleasant contrast. The Persian rug's border is red and matches the colors inside the medallion. The field corners have a gray background and feature floral ornaments painted with intense colors. Lotus flowers are outlined in blue, navy and ivory and are quite natural. The Persian rug's border contains Shah Abbasi floral motifs nuanced in a very clear blue color."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
