"The pictorial design of the Persian rug from the image is truly a work of art. It is tinted in natural, intense and bright colors. In the image foreground we see a stand with a vase of flowers on it. The flowers are pink, blue and white and are outlined with the same colors. Besides the central ornaments various animals and colorful birds populate the image. The top corners of the Persian rug are nuanced in blue and are ornated with the image of two peacocks richly and brightly colored. The image of nature is present throughout this Persian rug's surface in a consistent way."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
