"This pictorial shows in the foreground a vase with flowers. The vase is colored in bright colors as they need to highlight the beautiful dark red background. Notice that the vase is also filled with lanceolate leaves that bend gracefully along the pleasantly colored flowers. Above it is another vase hanging, this one being nuanced in shades of ivory and navy. Around these two vases are a lot of trees blooming on whose branches various birds are resting. The white inner and outer borders brightens the image and atennuates the main border formalism."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
