"The characteristic Tabriz town style is highly visible on this Persian rug's image. On top of the black background the Mahi design is surrounded by a swarm of Herati motifs. On the main border the decorations are almost geometrical featuring colors like green, ivory and dark red. The Persian rug's field is also filled with the same decorative motifs using a variety of colors from white and grey to different shades of brown. The inner and outer borders are rich in decorations and their ivory background creates an interesting contrast with the main border background. This Persian rug also has a high knots density which translates into a high detail level."
