"What we can see at a first glance is the lack of the carpetÆs edges. It is medallion motif designed, on a navy background. This color brings seriousness to the carpet, but itÆs lighted by the inner bright colors. The medallion is brown and pink colored and in the central of it are blue and pink flowers with red outlines. The medallion is framed by bright and shiny flowers witch are like sunshines inside the carpets. The carpetÆs corners are light blue colored with ivory motifs."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
