"Green is the color of spring, of new beginnings and hope. This color is naturally used in this image, surrounding the central medallion of the Persian rug. On top of the ivory background flowers are applied, emphasized through the bright background and their outlines. The border and the medallion have the same color, the latter one being gracefully surrounded with flower wreaths, which demonstrate the beauty of spring. The borders are decorated with heavily outlined large flowers which exceed their area."
Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory.
