"The contrast effect that appears in the Persian rug's overall image is natural and very pleasant. It is provided by combining the black border and the field's background color which is ivory. The central medallion also shows the main border background color, but its predominant color is rust. The image is rarefied; the flowers ornaments inside the Persian rug's field are applied gently, avoiding the creation of an exhausting image. The field inner corners include many lotus flowers, surrounded by a rusty background. The red is used mainly for the border's floral decorations. It is a strong color, lively, which contrasts very pleasantly with the background."
Tabriz Rugs
