The Persian rug's image sobriety is narrowed down thanks to the brighter surrounding borders. This effect is given by the black field background and the border's ivory one which can be compared with a spot of sunshine for the overall image. The three Mahi design representations also have an ivory background. The accent color for the main border is green which is present both for the lanceolate leafs margins and the lotus flowers. Tabriz Rugs
The rugs manufactured in the city of Tabriz also are of great finesse. Their predominant colors are red, blue and ivory.
