"This carpet contains very common colors ofen used in Isfahan city Persian rugs. The navy background is surrounded by the red middle border. The medallion design of this Persian rug is painted in shades of red, blue and ivory with a naturalness that blends perfectly with each other. The floral motifs around the medallion are presented in very light colours which enlightens the general picture. The middle edge presents floral motifs that are outlined in blue with the intrusion of ivory and red. The whole picture is of exceptional quality. The Persian rug is handmade from wool and its base is made from pure silk."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
