"The presented carpet has a unique naturalness. In the foreground we see a vase with red flowers and amongst them the leaves are painted in an intense shade of green. The vase is outlined in dark colors, full of intensity. In the interior image of the carpet we see blooming trees and birds that sit between the branches. The flowers have shades of red and a very dark shade of blue that contrast strongly with the ivory background of the carpet. The red edge that surrounds the carpet gives a general tone of dynamism to the image. 8633"
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
