"The carpet is of rare beauty and an exceptional coloration. We also have very good quality because the carpet uses 550 KPSI and hand workmanship of wool on a silk base. Strong colors are applied over the ivory background of the carpet. Carpet design is the medallion and is worked in shades of red, brown, navy, ivory, gray and blue. The contours are worked using great designer skills. The picture is crowded but not tiring and includes pomegranate flowers, lotus, penoy and lace like flowers. The Persian rug is surrounded by a red colour of rare beauty."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
