"This Persian rug truly is an enchanting beauty thanks to its special features. Firstly the ivory field background sustaining the whole design is contrasting with the main border. The red color used for the main border, but not only, signifies beauty, wealth, courage, luck, joy and faith. In the middle of the Persian rug we find the well known Mahi design. Is here where the above mentioned contrast can be seen. The detailed margins of the Herati motif's leafs and flowers are weaved in wool and silk. Tabriz Rugs
