"This Persian rug is colored using intense shades. The picture represents a vase colored in blue and outlined with brown. The vase contains flowers with a colors range starting from blue, pink, red to ivory, beige and brown. Amongst the flowers that are in the vase we see from place to place brightly colored birds. The carpet is framed by a red border crossed entirely by floral motifs. These flowers on the edge are nuanced using colors like blue and ivory. On both sides of the vase we see other flowers that strike us with a natural green."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
