"This carpet is a rare beauty and not only in terms of coloring but the general picture also. The carpet design is medallion in which the edges are not drawn as we are accustomed to by specific lines instead the framing is picture like. The medallion from the center of the carpet is beige and blue, green with intrusions of navy, brown and ivory. The flowers and the leaves inside carpet contain many shades of green. This color symbolizes youth, spring, hope and a new beginning. The carpet has a brown edge and the corners contain the same shade of green as the interior of the carpet."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
