"The Persian rug presents us with an image in which we see the same color shade used for the medallion and also for the border. The background is ivory and is crossed by floral motifs that are colored in shades of green, brown and beige. The inside of the medallion is painted in shades of brown and navy. Note that the edge of the carpet is made from floral inlays and the edges are not drawn accurately using straight lines. The image is airy, but the quality handmade design is very good. We have a 550 KPSI workmanship, natural wool on a silk base. The colors used within the carpet are intense and bright and are applied with perfect naturalness in its general picture."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
