"This large size Persian rug contains a great amount of warmth and luminosity. The idea of brightness is so easily induced because of the Persian rug's ivory background. Brown representing fertility is used for the ornaments, but not only, the main border's background being also brown. The Herati motif's lotus flower is visible on the Persian rug's field and symbolizes rebirth and immortality. It is a commonly used motif in Persian Persian rugs designing due to its great symbolical value.
