"Silk foundation, wool pile, 550 kpsi, natural dyes are providing this Persian rug's with attributes like high quality and uniqueness. Due to its combination of red, ivory and navy following a concentric model this Persian rug offers a vibrant and energizing image. Five borders can be distinguished. The main border features Shah Abassi motifs beautifully colored with red and light blue. These motifs are found on the Persian rug's field also colored in blue and navy. The lanceolate leafs represents another decorative motif used throughout the Persian rug's field. The rosette medallion has an ivory background which makes the centered flower like design more obvious."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
