"If this Persian rug seems special to you it is certainly because of its high color's variation. The inner and outer borders have blue backgrounds and the decorations are brown and red. These borders are doubled by two other which surrounds the main border and are brown in background while their decorations are colored in ivory, beige and a muted shade of green. The main border background is beige with red and green for the decorations. The field's ivory background makes the decorations to be more obvious and more distinguishable. Beautiful swirls and arched lines link the various graphic motifs creating a web which seems like sustaining the central rosette motif. This one is also an amazing feature of this Persian rug. Looking like a big chandelier it has four concentric circles considering the colors and the decorations."
Isfahan Rugs
Isfahan has long been one of the most important manufacturing centers for Persian rugs. The rugs here are usually designed using an ivory background and the ornaments are symmetrical and balanced. We find in the central part of the rug a medallion that is surrounded by floral motifs and palmetto leaves. The quality of these rugs is very high and the colors used for the interior motifs are blue, brown, ivory, green and more, all of them featuring an obvious naturalness.
