"The red color used for this Persian rug's background is the symbol of beauty, wealth, courage, luck, joy and faith. The Persian rug's decorations beside the floral motifs also contain representations of birds. We distinguish the parrot, the symbol of protection, and the paradise bird which obviously is the symbol of paradise and heaven. Their color scheme is full of joy and life energy while leafs decorations are ivory, brown and grey which symbolizes endless regeneration. The inner border contains the Shah Abassi motif featuring colors like brown, ivory and dark red. The combination is truly enchanting. Both inner and outer borders have rich decorations placed over an ivory background."
Tabriz Rugs
